About Me

As a mom of five & pediatric ER nurse I’m passionate about sharing my experience.

Hey there,
I’m Shannon.

I’m a mom of five and a pediatric ER nurse. I love being a mother, I love caring for others, and believe it or not, I love the beauty of pregnancy and birth! My experience in the hospital and within the walls of my home has forever shaped how I approach motherhood, and it is a joy to be able to passionately share my education, love and unique perspective with moms around the world.

My heart is compelled to share my medical education and love for motherhood in a way that encourages, empowers, and educates you through your own journey as a caregiver. I sincerely hope to bless you with the knowledge I have found at the intersection of modern medicine and holistic health. Making sure you are prepared to confidently handle any illness, injury, or emergency your kiddos might face: knowing when you can safely care for them home and when you may need some extra help. Thank you for joining me!

You saved me a trip to the ER! My son had a high fever and a cough and I knew that if we could wait until Monday we could go to his Primary Care's office. I referred back to your respiratory illness section, monitored his breathing and was able to wait to see the doctor without rushing to the ER. Without your class I would have definitely panicked! Thank you!

SARA C.

I watch your videos every few weeks in hopes that I’ll remember what to do in emergency situations. A few weeks ago it was put to the test when my 2 1/2yr old was choking. Thanks to you I was able to stay calm and focused and do what I needed to do. I was able to save my kid! So thank you for helping me stay calm! Thank you for making a terrifying situation a little less terrifying! Thank you for saving my kid!

ANGIE M.

You gave me the confidence to know what to do when my daughter was choking at 8 months old. At 20 months old, she fell off the couch backwards and landed on her forehead/face. I pulled up your head injury video and assessed her injury with confidence. Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge and making us mamas feel more comfortable in very scary, very tough situations! I’m so happy I found you!

JESSI B.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the info people send about what you should be doing for your babies, but you make it SO easy and clear. It never hurts to be prepared and to put our mom worries to rest. I want you to know you have brought me so much joy, peace of mind, love and gratitude. I cannot say thank you enough!

TIFFANY T.

Being a mom brings up new stresses especially when my kids started getting sick all the time. The first cold, croup experience, strep cough, high fevers were all so stressful to me because I have no control over them. I used to panic when I would hear the croup cough at 2:00am or see a high number on the thermometer until I found Shan! I haven’t ever been this confident in my abilities to take care of my kids when they are sick than I am today.

Erin T.

My daughter walked up to me having just put a chip in her mouth and instantly choked. Panic hit her eyes, she starting turning deep red, and couldn’t even cough. Instinct kicked in, and I put her over my knee and started the back blows. THANKS TO YOU, I had ZERO hesitation or question on what to do. You and your gifts and knowledge are such a blessing! Thank you for helping me feel like a super mom in a scary situation!!

HANNAH T.

You are inspirational and full of helpful information. I’ve had a couple scares with my now 1 year old and feel so much more prepared and calm to handle each situation because of you. We live way out of town so every bit of information to help stay calm and be knowledgeable is so helpful. You make life more inspired and safer for so many. THANK YOU!
