What to do if your Infant/Baby Chokes (video included)
One year ago, my son choked at a restaurant. Had it not been for my experience as an ER nurse the outcome could have been much worse.
Today marks exactly 365 days from the scariest moment of my motherhood life.
It feels like just yesterday when Jack choked on a peppermint candy and I had to use my nurse skills to save his life!
In my choking tutorial video below, I open up about the details of Jack's experience and I show you exactly what you need to do if you're faced with a similar situation. I truly hope that you never have to experience a choking situation. But, the best thing you can do is be prepared for your kids and those around you.
Since that day, in November 2018, when I initially shared my experience on Instagram and Instagram stories, I have heard from hundreds of mamas who have followed these skills to save their own babies when a choking event occurs.
I have been so fulfilled in dedicating time to sharing my medical knowledge combined with my experience as a mother of four. It has been incredibly gratifying and humbling for me to put this information into the world and hear your stories and heartfelt messages.
I encourage you to share this step-by-step video with any babysitters, caregivers, in-laws, grandparents, and anyone that may be taking care of children.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here. As mamas, we must be prepared to help our sweet children and give them everything we have. We are their world!
